If Maryam Nawaz contests the election from the provincial constituency, former MPA Rana Abdul Rauf will be the MNA candidate from the district president Pakistan Muslim League-Nana 161.In such a situation, former MNA of PML-N, Mian Alam Dad Lalika, who is present in the constituency as a strong candidate, will either accept the decision of the party or part ways with the party, otherwise, PML-N cannot be defeated.
