MARYAM AURANGZEB PRESENTS A RESOLUTION UNDER ARTICLE 125 FOR GRANTING APPROVAL TO PUNJAB S ONE MONTH BUDGET

Lahore, : Member PML-N Maryam Aurangzeb presented a resolution under article 125 of the Constitution in the Assembly which the Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan declared the resolution according to the Rules for the provision of one month budget to the Punjab Province under article 125. The newly elected Punjab government has submitted a resolution for getting approved one month budget under article 125 of the Constitution from the Speaker Punjab Assembly. Maryam Aurangzeb stated that when the Cabinet and  the government is not constituted then the Assembly gets the budget  approved for the stipulated period under the constitution. The budget should be allocated to run the affairs of the government till the formation of the cabinet and the government. Maryam Aurangzeb presented the budget approval resolution in the Assembly with the consent of Speaker Punjab Assembly. Maryam Aurangzeb while expressing her views in the Assembly stated that these steps were essential for the payment of salaries and meeting other essential expenditures in the province, provision of education, health, medicines, running the affairs of courts and for the maintenance of law & order. Due to shortage of time and non-formation of the cabinet and the government, the budget proposals cannot be formulated. If one month budget is not approved then a financial  shut down will take place in the province. Maryam Aurangzeb presented a resolution for the provision of public services, running the affairs of government institutions and the system for which one month budget should be approved.
