QUETTA: The Markazi Anjuman Tajran Balochistan and sugar dealers have threatened to observe shutter down if the Customs department did not stop action against the traders.
Addressing a hurriedly called press conference along with the sugar dealers at the Quetta Press Club on Wednesday, the President Markazi Anjuman Tajran Abdul Rahim Kakar charged that Customs teams are conducting raids on the sugar godowns in different cities of the province. The godowns of sugar dealers and traders have been sealed in different parts of the province, he charged adding that sugar seized by the Customs is not of the smugglers, rather it is of the sugar dealers.
He also alleged that it is being attempted to bid the seized sugar at the utility stores, which is an unfair.
He said that if the Customs didn’t stop its action against the sugar traders and dealers, it would be forced to observe shutter down strike, adding he asserted.
