QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has emphasized that it is necessary to provide all necessary facilities to the traders and industrialists of the coastal belt. He assured that serious steps would be taken to ensure sustainable solution to the issues being faced by the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Governor was speaking to a delegation of the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce, who called on him under leadership of its President, Shamsul Haq Kalmati, at Gwadar on Saturday.
He said that it is commendable to implement the projects of basic facilities for the local population of Gwadar besides executing the development process at large scale in the port city.
Moreover, it is also appreciated to see resolving the issues of people of Gwadar on priority, he maintained.
The Governor also said that it is our good luck that Gwadar is going to become a modern international city of the region.
The country’s and province’s economy would be strengthened by turning Gwadar as an important trade center, he believed adding that it is very important to benefit the local people from the fruits of development.
He said that the foreign and local investment would also help develop infrastructure at a big scale in Gwadar.
Meanwhile, the members of Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry apprised the Governor about the issues being faced by the traders and industrialists of Gwadar.
The Governor gave them very patient hearing and assured his every possible cooperation to resolve them.
Meanwhile, the Governor was also briefed by the Director General Gwadar Development Authority, Mujeeb Qambrani about the functional of GDA. He appreciated the role of GDA and stressed the need to expedite the work on its projects.
He said that the importance of Gwadar has been increased with construction of an international seaport in Gwadar.
