Maintaining balance between increasing demands & needs very difficult

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has stated that our resources are limited, but problems are very big, and it is very difficult task to maintain balance between the limited resources and increasing needs.
However, we can overcome the challenges being faced by the province with effective financial discipline.
He stressed that we desperately need the forward looking economic vision to move ahead the economic system to attain development and prosperity besides mobilizing the available resources and creating new prospects of development and construction.
The Governor was speaking to the Provincial Minister for Finance and Mineral Development, Mir Shoaib Nausherwani, who called on him here at the Governor’s House on Tuesday. During the course of meeting, also present were the Parliamentary Secretary Muhammad Khan Lehri and Principal Secretary to Governor Hashim Ghilzai.
The Governor maintained that we have to adopt a comprehensive strategy for increasing our resources, creating new modern means of income and reducing the unnecessary expenditures. He said that the fruits of development must benefit the people.
He urged the masses to pay taxes on regular basis just because the tax money is spent on development of basic infrastructure and social welfare projects.
The Governor also believed that future of Pakistan is linked with Balochistan as there are abundant opportunities of making investment in minerals, tourism, agriculture and livestock sectors. He said that it is also our responsibility to motivate the national and international investors to make investment in the province.
