MAHRANG BALOCH’S VISIT TO NORWAY: DUAL STANDARDS OF THE NORWEGIAN CENTRE OF HUMAN RIGHTS

(MOHSIN KHAN)

Mahrang Baloch’s recent visit to the University of Oslo, Norway, and appearance in front of the Norwegian Center of Human Rights at the University of Oslo is just a one-sided planned propaganda. People of Pakistan especially Balochistan need to understand the hypocrisy and dual standards of Mahrang, International communities and the Norwegian authorities.
The so-called missing persons, for whom Mahrang Baloch is campaigning and she visits the University of Oslo. Those are not missing persons anymore but are involved in heavy terrorist activities in Balochistan recently. The people of Balochistan must have witnessed the recent attacks such as in Mach on 29th January 2024, the Gwadar International Seaport on 20th March and Turbat Naval Base on 25th March including many more official buildings in Pakistan. These attacks were carried out by the missing terrorists such as Abdul Wadood Satakzai, Ayoub Azeem and Salal Baloch who will be portrayed as innocents in Norway by the champions of Human Rights.
Mahrang Baloch also quotes that even females are subject to enforced disappearance. It is pertinent to mention the fact that these so-called missing females have been involved in suicide attacks on armed forces and Chinese officials. Shari Baloch and Samia Baloch were the volunteers of women suicide attacks by the Majeed Brigade supported by Mahrang in past years. The Baloch culture where particularly women are considered as the symbol of conflict resolution is being destroyed by Baloch terrorist organizations.
In Balochistan, journalists, tourists, poor workers, doctors, teachers also minority communities like Christians, Hindus, and many more innocents have been the victims of the barbarism of these missing terrorists. The international forums of human rights must have analyzed the reality behind the issue of missing persons and then decide to provide their platform for discussion to destabilize Pakistan. The act of ignorance about the issue by the Norwegian Center of Human Rights and also so-called voice of innocent people of Balochistan, Mahrang is heartbreaking for those families who lost their innocent loved ones at the hands of Baloch terrorist organizations. Because, this is the fake propaganda of missing persons by her.
Pakistan is deeply concerned regarding the issue of missing persons and has formed a judicial commission for enforced disappearances to address the issue. Adding to the knowledge of the NCHR, Mahrang Baloch had refused to appear in front of the commission and also failed to provide evidence of enforced disappearances.
Mahrang Baloch has been misguiding people in the past through social media platforms, now once again Mahrang in her speech at Oslo, attracted the participants with misinformation. She highlighted the false fact that youth and young professionals are subject to enforced disappearances in Balochistan. The reality is that Balochistan’s youth such as students, engineers, doctors, and young bureaucrats are actively taking part in the national integration and serving the nation.
Mahrang Baloch was questioned by one of the participants of the session about the atrocities conducted by Baloch militant organizations. She was asked about the recent killings of seven innocent workers in Gwadar on 9th May, the brutal killings of two innocent workers in April in Gwadar and six labors who were brutally killed in Turbat in October 2023. Not just the recent killings but Mahrang was asked about the doctors, teachers, engineers, and all those innocents brutally killed by BLA and BLF over last twenty years. Mahrang did not condemned these killings and the hosts at the session interrupted and winded up the session so that the question must not be addressed.
To conclude, the interruption of the NCHR administration clearly proves that foreign powers are behind instability and terrorism in Balochistan. These so-called centers of Human Rights misguide the world and portray a fake picture of Balochistan to the world. NCHR and all other multinational organizations, NGO’s and forums must avoid dual standards while talking about fabricated human rights in Balochistan.
