Lt Gen (Retd) Abdul Aziz Appointed as PPSC Chairman

LAHORE: The Lieutenant General (retired), Muhammad Abdul Aziz has been appointed as the Chairman of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), according to the notification issued by the Services & General Administration Department (S&GAD) here on Tuesday.
“ In exercise of the powers conferred upon him under Section 3(2) of the Punjab Public Service Commission Ordinance, 1978, Governor Punjab, is pleased to appoint LT. GEG. (Retd.) Muhammad Abdul Aziz as Chairman, Punjab PPSC, with immediate effort, for a period of three years, against a vacant post,” read the notification.
According to S&GAD sources, the new PPSC chairman will receive a monthly salary under the MP-I Pay Package.
The post of Chairman PPSC remained vacant following the retirement of Former Chairman, Lieutenant General (Retired), Malik Zafar Iqbal, who completed his three-year tenure in February 2024.
