QUETTA: The Chairman Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has reiterated his pledge to move ahead and serve masses of the country burying the politics of hatred, division and ego.
The Chairman PPP said that let people of Pakistan make decisions about fate of the country, as when they (people) take any decision then no power of the world can stop them from doing so.
Bilawal Bhutto said that we are being told that the person who remained Prime Minister of the country thrice would resolve the problems and steer out of the hardships after becoming Premier for fourth time.
The PPP chief was addressing the Balochistan High Court Bar here on Friday morning.
He said that we have full confidence on the people of Pakistan that they would hear us. He said that he can change the destiny of country together with the people.
Chairman PPP thanked the people of Balochistan for the wholehearted participation and response in the party’s foundation day gathering in Quetta.
He said that the people of Balochistan gave the message that they are with Pakistan Peoples Party.
Referring the 8th August 2016 tragedy of civil hospital Quetta, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that he knew Balochistan and well aware of the agony the people have gone through.
He said that he has gone through the agony and grief, which the people of Balochistan have passed.
He said that my grandfather Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was hanged to death while his mother and uncles were martyred too.
If the mothers of Balochistan are grieved over target killing and forced disappearance of their beloved children, so he knew their grief and agony, he added.
He questioned that whether justice was provided to the people in the system running in the country.
Without attributing and taking name of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the PPP chief said that it is being told that a person who have been the country’s Prime Minister thrice would steer the country out of existing problems.
But, I request the people of Pakistan and especially of Balochistan to give surprise on February 8 to those who have made decision about it, he pleaded.
He also urged the people not to let decide the destiny of country who have made politics of hatred and division in the past.
The people should not give chance (of rule) to such people once again, he pleaded.
He said that he knows that how much potential the country has, and can create opportunities for the people.
He also stressed that we have to give up the traditional thinking and approach of politics and ruling.
In addition to this, we also have to think about interests of the masses and make them partners in the country’s economy, sociology and politics, he insisted further.
Referring Balochistan, the PPP chairman said that the province was not given due rights in the past on one hand, while the implementation on the Aghaz Haqooq Balochistan Package announced by the then President Asif Ali Zardari was also stopped.
He said that our constitution gives right to the people over the resources their provinces have, and we would surely ensure it after coming into power.
He referred the example of Thar coal project and said that we made the people of Thar partners and share holders to give them economic benefits.
He said that we want to replicate the model of Thar project in Balochistan.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that it was victory of people of Balochistan when President Zardari signed the 18th amendment in the past, and so when the NFC Award was announced after long time and then announced Aghaz Haqooq Balochistan Package and started implementation on it.
In the meantime, when President Zardari tendered apology to the people of Balochistan on the past’s highhandedness, it was also their (people) victory, he maintained.
Earlier, the PPP chairman was welcomed by President Balochistan High Court Bar Association, Afzal Harifal and President Quetta Bar Association, Abid Kakar along with Vice Chairman Balochistan Bar Council, Amanullah Kakar and President Peoples’ Lawyers Forum, Behram Tareen.
Also accompanied with PPP Chairman were the senior leaders of party, Faisal Karim Kundi, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri Mir Changez Jamali and others.
