Lahore, October – President of Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry Mian Abuzar Shad has assured full support to the traders for early resolution of their key issues.
He was addressing a delegation of the traders from Urdu Bazar led by the President President of the Textbook Publisher Association Fawad Niaz. LCCI Vice President Shahid Nazir Chaudhry and former Senior Vice President Ali Hussam Asghar also spoke on the occasion. Other members of the delegation were Convener Abuzar Ghafari, Chairman of the Association Ahmad Usman Shah, Senior Vice President Javed Iqbal, Secretary General Dr. Naeem Khalid and Secretary Finance Muhammad Amir.
Mian Abuzar Shad expressed his gratitude for the business community’s trust in LCCI’s leadership and reiterated that the Chamber’s platform is fully available to resolve the concerns of Lahore’s traders. He assured that LCCI is committed to address the challenges being faced by the business community, with special focus on resolving issues related to traffic management and encroachments.
The LCCI President further proposed the formation of a five-member committee, under the leadership of Abu Zar Ghafari, Chairman of the Textbook Publishers Association, to develop recommendations on the key issues being by the traders of Urdu Bazar’s which is one of the largest markets in the country. These recommendations will be forwarded to the relevant government authorities for appropriate action.
Mr. Muhammad Fawaz Niaz, President of the Textbook Publisher Association, congratulated Mian Abuzar Shad, Senior Vice President Engineer Khalid Usman, and Vice President Shahid Nazir Chaudhry for their appointments at LCCI. He also highlighted key issues concerning the private publishing sector’s dealings with the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board. Additionally, he raised concerns regarding the frequent power outages and feeder tripping in the Urdu Bazar area.
Former LCCI Senior Vice President Ali Hassam Asghar echoed these sentiments and expressed appreciation for the leadership of Textbook Publishers Association. He pledged that the LCCI would take up the issues with the concerned government departments and emphasized the Chamber’s commitment to supporting the business community.
