Larkana, August 8: In a swift operation, the Larkana Range Police thwarted a kidnapping attempt near RD-17 of Tehana Guddu, arresting the suspect, Basit Ali, son of Asghar Ali Badani, in an injured condition.
The police action was prompted by a tip-off about a potential abduction. Basit Ali had allegedly befriended Makin Muhammad Tariq Tahir, son of Ghulam Haider Budani, a survivor of a previous kidnapping incident in Multan, over the phone.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Range Larkana, Nasir Aftab Pathan, has commended the police team involved in the operation, ordering SSP Kashmore at Kandhkot to award cash prizes and certificates of appreciation to the officials.
The timely intervention of the Larkana Range Police has prevented a potential kidnapping and ensured the safety of the individuals involved.
