LANDI KOTAL, Sept 19: Despite producing hundreds of national and international players, Landi Kotal lacks a sports complex, hindering the growth of its talented youth.
At a press conference held at the Landi Kotal Press Club, Khayber Sports Club General Secretary Kalimullah Shinwari, along with young players Asad Shinwari, Adil, Sajjad Gran, Bilal Afridi, Amanullah, Hikmatullah, and Manzoor Ali, emphasized the need for a sports complex.
“Landi Kotal has an abundance of talent, with numerous national and international players hailing from the area,” Kalimullah Shinwari said. “However, the lack of infrastructure and facilities hampers their progress.”
The speakers highlighted the challenges faced by players, including inadequate lighting, absence of sports equipment, and unavailability of trained coaches.
“We urge the authorities to provide necessary facilities, including lights for the high school ground, to nurture the talent of our youth,” Asad Shinwari appealed.
With its rich sporting history, Landi Kotal deserves a comprehensive sports complex to foster the growth of its promising athletes.
