Jamrud, Khyber District, October 4, 2024
The Kuki Khel tribe organized a rally in Jamrud Bazaar, demanding the reopening of closed areas in Tirah Valley’s Rajgal and the return of displaced persons (IDPs). The rally, held near the historic Bab-e-Khyber, drew participants from various political parties and schools of thought.
Speakers, including former Jamaat-e-Islami provincial chief Mushaq Ahmad Khan, Malik Naseer Ahmed Kuki Khel, and Sherin Afridi, president of Bara Political Alliance, urged:

1. Immediate reopening of Tirah Valley’s closed areas.
2. Return of IDPs.
3. Restoration of peace in Khyber District and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
4. End to imposed conflict.
The rally condemned recent firing and tear gas use on a grand jirga in Khyber.
The Kuki Khel tribe announced a massive peace and return march on October 14, joined by thousands of Pashtuns, if their demands remain unmet.
