PESHAWAR : In a shocking turn of events, reliable sources within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have disclosed deep-seated resentment among officers and officials towards the current Inspector General of Police. Reports suggest that this discontent has escalated to the point where four distinguished SP-rank officers, namely Hidayat Ullah Shah, Sohail Afzal, Falak Niaz Khan, and Tajamul Khan, have already submitted their resignation letters. What’s more, another officer of equal rank is allegedly poised to follow suit. The situation has taken a more ominous turn as it’s rumored that a group of officers and officials, estimated to be between 20 to 30 in number, are contemplating a joint press conference. Their aim: to protest what they perceive as a biased stance by the current IGP towards the dedicated men and women of the KP Police. If tensions persist, there’s even talk of the possibility of announcing a collective resignation.
The police force, a cornerstone of law and order in the province, now faces a crucial juncture in its history. The upcoming press conference, if it transpires, could shed light on the root causes of this simmering discord and reveal the future of policing in KP.
