The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority conducted a significant raid, seizing over 200 kilograms of dead chickens in Charsadda. This operation, carried out by the Charsadda food safety team on Wednesday, followed a tip-off about a group supplying dead chickens to the market in Sherpao, Charsadda.
While detailing, spokesperson for the authority stated that the raid led to the immediate disposal of the seized dead chickens on the spot. The individuals involved in this unscrupulous activity were heavily fined, and further legal action under the Food Safety Act has been initiated.
Director General of the Food Authority Wasif Saeed, praised the food safety team for their successful operation and assured that stringent disciplinary measures would be taken against such unethical elements. Saeed also urged the public to report any information about similar illegal activities to the Food Authority to ensure timely action against those responsible.
