Islamabad Police have successfully recovered a 7-month-old baby boy who was kidnapped from his mother’s fruit cart in the F-7 sector of Kohsar police station. The mother, who sells fruits in the area, had her baby with her when the kidnappers, riding in a car, abducted the child on August 31.
Taking swift action, Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasser Rizvi, ordered the immediate recovery of the baby. Under the supervision of DIG Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer, RDU teams were formed to investigate the case. Using all available resources, the police teams recovered the baby and arrested two suspects, including a woman, involved in the kidnapping. The police also seized the car used in the crime.
The baby was handed over to his mother after legal proceedings. DIG Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer and SSP Operations Muhammad Arslan Shahzib met with the mother and appreciated her cooperation. The mother thanked Islamabad Police from the bottom of her heart for recovering her baby safely.
The safe recovery of the innocent baby is a significant achievement for the police teams.
