Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Chairs Meeting on Pak-Austria Institute’s Progress

Peshawar, Nov12, : Governor Faisal Karim Kundi presided over a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Chairs Meeting on Pak-Austria Institute’s Progress on Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology’s performance. Rector Dr. Muhammad Mujahid and Project Director Dr. Nasser Ali Khan briefed the governor on the institute’s achievements and future plans.

The Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology is a collaborative venture with select Austrian and Chinese universities, aiming to raise the standards of technical education in Pakistan.¹ The institute boasts state-of-the-art teaching and practical laboratories, equipped at par with partner universities. Effective plans are in place to keep pace with the highest standards of curricula, teaching resources, and learning outcomes adopted by foreign partners.
Institute’s Achievements and Future Plans:*Technology Park_: A dynamic technology park integrated within the university to boost innovation and entrepreneurship.
– _International-Quality Training_: Faculty members are being trained in Austria and China to ensure international-quality education.
– _Equivalence with Standards in the Developed World_: Double degrees will be awarded to students, ensuring equivalence with standards in Austria and China.
Faculty Development_: Around 200 faculty members will be trained in Austria/China for periods of up to 6 months.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized the importance of modern technology education and industry collaboration, stating that it’s essential for Pakistan’s development. The meeting demonstrated the government’s commitment to supporting the institute’s growth and promoting technical education in the region.
