Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s decision to withdraw the powers given to the police.

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government decided to withdraw the powers given to the police under the Police Act in 2017, the opposition also became a supporter of the government on this issue.

The opposition and the government in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly came on the same page against the police and decided to withdraw the powers given to the police under the Police Act in 2017.

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Dr. Amjad said that in 2107 we empowered the police and gave them the authority to use the funds.

Dr. Amjad said that the attitude of the police towards MPA Sobia Shahid is sad. He said that the attitude of the police is not only in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but also in other provinces. It is in front of everyone, the sanctity of our houses and walls has been violated.

The Special Assistant to the Chief Minister further said that there has been no inquiry yet regarding the killings of policemen in blasts and target killings.He demanded that there should be a judicial inquiry into the Peshawar and Kabul police line blasts.

Dr. Amjad said that the district police officer himself is a victim of lack of security, what protection will he give us, he said that the policemen are posted in people’s rooms and they are taken to harvest wheat.

The Special Assistant criticized and said that the police officers do not get leisure time by making Tik Tok, what protection will they give to the common citizens. He said that one DPO has ten police vehicles for protocol.
