_Khuzdar: Executive Engineer Refutes Rumors of Dam Breach in Dashat Goran_
Khuzdar: The Executive Engineer of Khuzdar District, Juma Khan Mandokhail, has refuted rumors of a breach in the Azam Merd Dam in Dashat Goran, stating that the dam is safe and secure. In a statement, he said that the dam has accumulated 15 feet of water due to recent rainfall and runoff, which will have positive effects in the coming days, including increased agricultural production and rising groundwater levels.
He further stated that a private dam built by a landowner in Dashat Goran had breached due to excessive water accumulation and poor drainage management, and warned local landowners to exercise caution when building such structures to avoid causing difficulties for the local population.
The Executive Engineer assured that there are no red alerts for dam breaches in the district, but advised people to exercise caution during monsoon rains and avoid traveling and picnicking near water bodies.
