KARAKORAM INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES LAW EDUCATION PROGRAM WITH GB JUDICIAL ACADEMY

Karakoram International University (KIU) has announced plans to initiate a law education program in collaboration with the Gilgit-Baltistan Judicial Academy, marking a significant milestone in legal education for the region.

The decision was made during a meeting between Chief Justice Ali Baig and KIU Vice Chancellor Dr. Attullah Shah, held in the Chief Justice’s chambers. Also in attendance were Registrar Chief Court Justice Ghulam Abbass Chopa and Registrar KIU Dr. Abdul Hameed Lone.

The program aims to introduce quality law education in Gilgit-Baltistan, aligned with international standards and best practices. A formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between KIU and the GB Judicial Academy to solidify the partnership.

“This initiative will provide local students with opportunities to pursue law studies and contribute to the region’s legal framework,” said Dr. Shah.
