QUETTA: The senior most judge of Balochistan High Court (BHC), Mr. Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar sworn in as the new Chief Justice of High Court here on Saturday.
The Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar administered oath to Mr. Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar.
The simple but impressive ceremony of oath taking of Chief Justice was arranged at the Governor House.
The prominent among those attended the ceremony were Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, provincial ministers, members of the parliament, judges of the High Court, senior judicial officers and lawyers besides other dignitaries and elders.
It may be mentioned here that earlier Mr Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar was serving as acting Chief Justice of the High Court after elevation of Mr Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan as judge of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
