Shikarpur, Sindh – In a dramatic turn of events, the son of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Sindh’s Vice Amir and custodian of Dargah Amrot Sharif, Maulana Syed Saraj Ahmed Shah Amroti, was kidnapped along with his car, only to be recovered shortly after.
According to reports, Maulana Shah was returning from a organizational visit to District Qambar Shahdadkot when five armed men intercepted his vehicle near Murtaza Bhutto’s mausoleum in Pangjo Dero village. The kidnappers took Maulana Shah’s son, Syed Ahsan Shah, and fled.
However, upon learning of Maulana Shah’s identity, the kidnappers released the duo after 20 minutes, abandoning the car near Jani Shankh.
Police and JUI leaders promptly responded, leading to the swift recovery of the vehicle and the safe return of Maulana Shah and his son.
JUI Sindh has condemned the incident, demanding increased security measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.
