QUETTA: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), Jama’at-e-Islami (JI), Haq Do Tehreek (HDT) and BNP-Awami boycotted the process of polling conducted for presidential election in the Balochistan Assembly here on Saturday.
The concerned members of parties remained impartial in the presidential election and thus didn’t turn up for vote cast in the House.
Speaking to the media, JUI-F’s member assembly, Younas Aziz Zehri said that the JUI leadership decided to boycott the presidential election, so we are not casting votes in it.
He announced that 12 members belonging to JUI would not cast their votes in the presidential election.
He also said that the complete implementation would be made on the decision of central leadership of JUI.
Similarly, the spokesman of JI said that the JI has decided to remain impartial in the presidential election, so the members of JI and HDT would not cast their votes in the election.
It may be mentioned here that there are 12 members of assembly belonging to JUI with one each of JI, HDT and BNP-A in the provincial assembly.
The BNP-Awami’s Mir Asadullah Baloch had announced to boycott the presidential election while delivering speech in the assembly session.
