QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has decided to hold the Independent Day celebrations with great enthusiasm and zeal all over the province.
This was decided in a high level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti here on Thursday.
The Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, administrative secretaries of provincial government departments and police high ups were in attendance at the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the preparations and arrangements for Independence Day to be celebrated in the province.
Addressing the meeting, Chie Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti announced that the Jashne Azadai would be celebrated with enthusiasm in all divisions and districts of the province.
He said that the people of Balochistan are patriotic and caressing the country. The Chief Minister said that 14th August is close to our hearts. He said that we would give message to the world by celebrating the day with enthusiasm that every individual has love for Pakistan in one’s heart. Every individual would efface the false narrative of the social media after joining the celebrations of Independence, Mir Sarfraz Bugti maintained.
Besides, the Chief Minister said that rich tributes would be presented to the heroes who rendered sacrifice of their lives for country on the Jashne Azadi.
He said that martyrs rendering sacrifice of their lives are our national heroes, and we would never be forgetting them.
He announced that the families of martyrs would be invited in all the events to be arranged marking the Jashne Azadi, and they would be chief guest there.
In addition to this, we would also invite the players from all over the country to Balochistan, he added.
The Chief Minister asserted that there is no gulf between the people of Balochistan and State on the national security.
He said that the baseless propaganda of the social media would be buried with unity, harmony and solidarity.
He stressed on giving wholehearted coverage to the Independence Day celebrations in the international, national and local media.
He believed that the events to be celebrated with national spirit of patriotism would be top trend in the media outlets.
Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti on the occasion also paid homage to all those martyred in the terrorism incidents including Shaheed Professor Nazima Talib.
