Jan Achakzai welcomes former promising cricketer

QUETTA: The former international cricketer and member of national squad, Ahmed Shahzad has announced to establish his cricket academy in Quetta for nurturing young cricket talent for the national and international level matches.
He said that he wants to bring his (Ahmed Shahzad) cricket academy in Quetta for he would be needing the land and infrastructure. S
The former international cricketer vowed to contribute to the development of cricket at the grassroots level, providing opportunities for talented youngsters to receive proper coaching and mentorship, potentially paving the way for future representation in national and international cricket.
Ahmed Shahzad was addressing a press conference along with the caretaker Provincial Minister for Information, Jan Achakzai here at the Sikandar Jamali Auditorium in Civil Secretariat on Sunday.
He said that he got lot of love and affection from Quetta, and he would remain connected with it for rest of his life.
He said that the manner he was welcomed and treated is really memorable for him.
He went on to say that the love he got from people of Quetta, he did not get anywhere, so he wants to do much for the people of Balochistan.
Ahmed Shahzad also mentioned that there is a great potential of cricket among youngsters of the province, what had been lacking the desired opportunities for them to prove it.
He said that it would be his utmost endeavour to enable the young cricketers from the province to play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as well as the national and international level cricket.
He pledged that we have to produce cricket’s super starts from the province in time to come.
Earlier, the caretaker Minister Information welcomed the former international cricketer Ahmed Shahzad in Quetta.
He said that Ahmed Shahzad had been invited to come to Quetta. He (Ahmed Shahzad) has heartfelt affection with Balochistan, and he always raised voice for the talent from the province.
