QUETTA: The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of University of Balochistan (UoB) has announced to stage dharna (protest sit-in) in front of the Provincial Assembly on April 2, 2024.
According to the Joint Action Committee, the teachers, officers and employees of the University are deprived of the salaries for last three months.
It was mentioned that the Provincial government has released Rs. 25 crore and 50 lakh on account of the salaries of employees.
It was stated that Rs. 1.25 billion is required for salaries and pension of the employees and pensioners of the university.
The JAC demanded of the authorities to ensure payment of the salaries and pensions of the employees and pensioners of the university immediately.
Otherwise, strong protest would be lodged against the issue, it was announced.
