IRANIAN FORCES ACCUSED OF KILLING OVER 200 AFGHAN CIVILIANS

Kabul, October 16,  Afghan media reports that Iranian border guards have killed over 200 Afghan civilians in the Sistan  Baluchestan province.

According to Afghan media, the civilians were attempting to illegally enter Iran when they were targeted with light and heavy firearms.

Afghan government spokesperson called for an immediate investigation, stating, “We are deeply concerned about the reported incident and urge Iranian authorities to clarify the situation.”

 

*EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT*

An Afghan eyewitness described the incident, saying, “We were targeted in the Kalgan Saravan area. Our group had 300 individuals, and 270-280 were killed.”

A human rights organization in Iran confirmed that only 50 Afghan civilians survived the incident, raising concerns about the use of excessive force.

This incident has sparked tensions between Afghanistan and Iran, with Afghan authorities demanding answers.
