Muzaffarabad, August 17. high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Director General of the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) to discuss the establishment of an Integrated Emergency Response Center (IERC) in Muzaffarabad.
The meeting was attended by the District Health Officer, Director Admin SDMA, Director Operations SDMA, Director Rescue 1122, and Assistant Director Civil Defense. The SDMA, Health, and Civil Defense departments jointly discussed the IERC’s establishment.
The IERC aims to provide a swift and coordinated response to any emergency or unexpected situation, ensuring the protection of precious human lives. It was decided that the center will be partially established by August 20, 2024.
