A wave of insecurity has hit Nasirabad as two motorcycle theft incidents were reported in a single day. In the first incident, unknown armed men snatched a motorcycle from Zakir son of Khalilur Rehman at Kutchi Pul. In the second incident, armed men attempted to snatch a motorcycle from a rider near Dost Hotel, but the rider was shot and injured. The robbers fled, leaving the motorcycle behind. The injured was shifted to Civil Hospital for medical aid.
The rising insecurity has spread fear among citizens. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Kakar made a surprise visit to the emergency department of Teaching Hospital Dera Murad Jamali, where five female patients were waiting for treatment. However, both lady medical officers were found absent from duty. The doctors rushed to the emergency department after the Deputy Commissioner’s arrival, and the five women received treatment.
The incidents have raised concerns about the deteriorating law and order situation in Nasirabad.
