A grand flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Commissioner Office lawn in Sibi to mark the 77th Independence Day. Commissioner Sibi Division Syed Zahid Shah hoisted the flag, while a smartly turned-out police contingent presented a salute.
The ceremony was attended by DIG Police Sibi Range Abdul Hamid Khosa, Deputy Commissioner Sibi Jahanzeb Sheikh, SSP Sibi Ghulam Sarwar Bhayo, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Ali Asghar Magsi, Chairman MC Sardar Muhammad Khan Khajjak, Assistant Commissioner Sibi Jarral Khan Kakar, DEO Star Lango, PS to Commissioner Zeeshan Ahmed, PS to DC Fahim Ahmed, and all civil and administrative officers.
After the flag-hoisting ceremony, Commissioner Sibi Syed Zahid Shah and Deputy Commissioner Jahanzeb Sheikh planted trees in the Green Belt under the Monsoon Tree Plantation campaign and offered special prayers for the country’s security and prosperity.
A similar ceremony was held at the Circuit House Sibi, attended by district officers, civil society, traders, and a large number of students. Various speakers addressed the gathering, and Commissioner Sibi Syed Zahid Shah said that the entire nation is united to protect the motherland.
