Astore, August 15, Like the rest of the country, Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Astore district. The central ceremony was held at Government Boys High School Astore, organized by the district administration. Provincial Minister for Home Affairs Shamsul Haq Lone was the guest of honor, while Commissioner Diamer Astore Division Faisal Ihsan Pirzada was the president of the ceremony.
Deputy Commissioner Astore Muhammad Tariq, heads of various departments, students, and a large number of people attended the ceremony. Addressing the gathering, Minister Shamsul Haq Lone said that due to the sacrifices of our ancestors, the dream of Pakistan came true, and we are breathing in the free air today. He credited Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s dynamic leadership and Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s vision for the creation of Pakistan.
Lone added that Pakistan is now a strong defensive state CG professional army and a strong defense in capable hands, which no enemy can dare challenge.
