Karachi. 11 June. Provincial Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Mukesh Kumar Chawla, while releasing the details of tax collection in the current fiscal year on behalf of the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department of Sindh, has said that in the current fiscal year from July 2022 to May 2023, a total of Rs. 112514.159 million tax has been collected. According to the details, Rs. 9476.699 million in terms of motor vehicle tax, Rs.66690.691 million in the form of infrastructure cess, Rs. 674.931 million in the form of professional tax and Rs 3.417 million in the form of cotton fee while the remaining amount was received in the form of other taxes. Provincial Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Mukesh Kumar Chawla expressing satisfaction over the overall situation of tax collection, has said that Sindh Excise Department had achieved more than 90% tax targets and hopefully we would get more than 100% tax targets till 30th June.He advised tax defaulters to take the advantage of online tax filing facility so that they do not face any unpleasant situation.
