In the aftermath of court appearance regarding anti-terrorism court in Clifton, PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh addressed the media, expressing concerns over deteriorating law and order situation. Sheikh lamented the pervasive surveillance by law enforcement, stating, “Whether we hold rallies or gatherings, the police follow us to our homes.” He highlighted the rising street crimes in Karachi, emphasizing the brazen daylight robberies.

He said the recent interception of arms smuggling, notably a car belonging to a PPP advisor caught smuggling weapons from kashmore, raised suspicions of complicity within the Sindh government. Sheikh urged an immediate investigation into the involvement of SSP Kashmore in the smuggling operation, stressing the deteriorating law and order situation in Sindh.

Accusing the Sindh government of negligence, Sheikh criticized the misplaced priorities of law enforcement, asserting, “Instead of controlling crime, they’re making false cases against our workers.” He announced plans for a rally on April 28th, rebuking Deputy Commissioner East for misleading the court regarding permissions for gatherings at Jinnah Ground.

Sheikh also voiced concerns over the treatment of Bushra Bibi, alleging mistreatment and politicization of her health issues. He condemned the delay tactics used against proceeding of Imran Khan’ cases, labeling him as a national leader who sacrificed for the nation’s welfare. Sheikh demanded an end to the manipulation of legal proceedings against Khan and called for his immediate release.
