QUETTA: The caretaker Provincial Minister for Health, Dr. Ameer Muhammad Khan Jogezai has stated that in all 8,217 patients have so far been benefitted from the Health Card in Balochistan.
This was informed by the caretaker provincial Minister for Health, Dr. Ameer Muhammad Khan Jogezai while addressing a press conference at Quetta press club on Thursday.
Dr. Ameer Muhammad Khan Jogezai said that the patients were treated in 150 hospitals all over the country.
The treatment of the patients has cost some Rs. 320 million, the Minister Health added.
Dr. Jogezai also informed that 18 percent treatment of the patients was done in public sector hospitals while 82 percent treatment of the patients was done in private sector hospitals through the Health Card.
He said that a total of 264 complaints have been registered regarding the Health Card on the Helpline.
Out of these complaints, 166 have been resolved while 98 are being resolved, he mentioned.
Referring the availability of medicines, the Health Minister said that the huge quantity of medicines have been purchased during last three months.
He said that the interim government is bearing the burden of negligence of previous governments.
