In a meeting with Seniors Command of Motorway Police at NHMP headquarters DG ZARRA (ministry of human rights) mr Jahanzeb Khan requested for the cooperation to raise awareness among the general public regarding the protection of innocent children. On the directions of Inspector General Sultan Ali Khowaja, the senior officers assured DG Jahanzeb Khan that the Motorway Police in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Rights will play a vital role as its a national cause. NHMP briefing officers are distributing pamphlets and leaflets with commuters at the toll plazas to create awareness among the public regarding the protection of children. Motorway police radio FM-95 has playing key role regarding this campaign, Inspector General said that the safety of children is a common responsibility of all the stakeholders. In case of any missing child, immediately file a report at the nearest police station. Officers further said that Motorway Police have reunited hundreds of missing children with their parents so far this year and more than 900 in the last five years. He further said that along with professional duties, Motorway Police not only helps the commuters in case of emergency but also deal with culprits without any laxity.Prompt and effective assistance is the hallmark of the Motorway Police as they always play an important role in various social welfare activities such as recovery of lost items, guiding the commuters and above all reuniting the missing children with their parents.
