Imran Khan visits Media Academy, gets briefing on issues:

QUETTA: The Secretary Information Department, Imran Khan has stated that it is included in the priorities of government to make the means of communication compatible with the requirements of present era.
He assured that serious steps would be taken to resolve the issues being faced by the media persons in province.
The Secretary Information was speaking on occasion of the visit to Media Academy here on Wednesday.
The Director General Public Relations Balochistan, Muhammad Noor Khetran was also accompanied the Secretary Information.
The President Quetta Press Club, Abdul Khaliq Rind and office bearers of the cabinet welcomed them.
The President of Quetta Press Club briefed them about the Quetta Press Club, Media Academy, classes and other sections.
He also informed the Secretary Information about functioning of the Media Academy and the future projects.
The Secretary Information gave patient hearing to the issues associated with the Press Club and newspaper industry.
He asked the office bearers of Press Club to prepare their comprehensive suggestions so as to put them before the government.
He assured that he would speak to the Chief Minister for resolving the issues of journalists.
He said that the media persons would be provided relief to the media persons martyred and injured in line of duties while effectively using the journalists welfare fund.
Besides, the Chief Minister would be requested especially to provide facilities in the Media Academy so as to launch classes in the Media Academy and impart best training to the students of journalism.
