Mirpur Khas, August 28, – An important meeting was held today at the Commissioner Complex in Mirpur Khas to discuss the emergency situation caused by heavy rainfall. The meeting was chaired by Provincial Minister and Focal Person for Rain Emergency, Mir Tariq Ali Khan Talpur.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Advisor Janid Baloch, Commissioner Mirpur Khas Faisal Ahmed Aqili, Deputy Commissioner Mirpur Khas Rashid Masood Khan, SSP Mirpur Khas Asad Ali Chaudhry, Mayor of Mirpur Khas Abdul Rauf Ghori, and officers from various district departments.
Deputy Commissioner Rashid Masood Khan briefed the Provincial Minister and Focal Person Mir Tariq Ali Khan Talpur on the preparations being made to deal with the rain emergency.
The Minister emphasized the need for immediate drainage of water from urban and rural areas and ensuring public safety. Instructions were issued for the immediate establishment of medical camps and rescue operations to provide maximum relief to the public.
The Minister directed the removal of obstacles from natural waterways to restore drainage.
“All departments should be in direct contact with the public.”
