Importance of higher and professional education unavoidable for progress

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has firmly stated that the importance of higher and professional education is just unavoidable for the overall development as such we have to pay much focus on it.
The Governor said that the Engineering University of Khuzdar is progressing fast, which is also evident from its campuses established in different districts of the province.
He also commended the role of the Khuzdar University for continuing the journey of development in the development sector.
The Governor stated so during visit of the Khuzdar University’s Campus in Uthal on Wednesday.
Present on the occasion were the Vice Chancellor of Khuzdar University, Professor Dr. Maqsood Ahmed, Vice Chancellor of Lasbela university, Professor Dr. Dost Muhammad Baloch, Principal Secretary to Governor, Hashim Khan Ghilzai besides the senior faculty members of the university.
During the visit, the Governor was briefed about overall performance of the university as well as issues being faced by it and future course of action.
The Governor said that the government is taking deep interest in providing better and especially professional educational facilities to the students in accordance with the requirements of present era.
He appreciated the invaluable services of Khuzdar University’s teachers and other concerned staff for promotion of the engineering education and producing talented engineers.
He said that it is our good luck that around 12 universities are operating in the province and a large number of students are benefiting there.
He expressed the hope that every possible efforts would be made to improve performance of the university further.
