Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that no police officer suffering from medical problems will be left alone in the fight against the disease and all possible support will be provided to police officials from the health welfare fund of the Welfare Branch in reference of health welfare measures. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed that the measures for the health welfare of the force should be expedited with the income from the police welfare sources. He expressed these views while releasing funds of more than 06 lakh 50 thousand rupees for the employees serving in different districts including Lahore.
According to the details, ASI Qadeer Akhtar of Multan was given 02 lakh rupees for brain surgery. Langri Shahzad Hussain of the Central Police Office was given one lakh and 50 thousands rupees for the treatment of his wife’s illness. Constable Adnan Hussain of Jhelum was given one lakh rupees for the treatment of his wife. Inspector Muhammad Akram of Lahore was given 01 lakh rupees for the treatment of his wife’s liver disease and stroke, whereas Rawalpindi sub-inspector Muhammad Rafaqat Khan was given Rs 01 lakh for the treatment of his wife’s cancer. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar released the above-mentioned funds after scrutiny and approval of the committee headed by Additional IG Welfare and Finance Riaz Nazir Gara.
