On the orders of the Balochistan High Court, Secretary Communications and Construction, Lal Jan Jaffer, has initiated the black topping project of Sakran Link Road. In the first phase, 4 kilometers of the road will be black topped, and in the second phase, the remaining sections will be completed after the earthwork is finished. According to official sources, the road construction work had been stalled for a long time, but after the appointment of senior bureaucrat Lal Jan Jaffer as Secretary Communications and Construction, significant progress has been made in road sector projects in Hub district, like other districts of Balochistan.
Commissioner Quetta Division, Naeem Bazai, is also actively monitoring the ongoing development projects in the road sector to ensure timely completion and transparency in the use of development funds. It is worth noting that the Sakran Link Road scheme was included in the PSDP through the efforts of former provincial minister Sardar Saleh Muhammad Bhootani, but the release of required funds and revision of the C&W department’s schedule rate were pending.
