Muzaffarabad: A high-level meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq to review preparations for the upcoming monsoon season in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was attended by senior ministers, including Colonel (R) Wagar Ahmed Noor, Chaudhry Azhar Sadique, Akmal Sargala, and Chief Secretary Dawood Muhammad Barrich, as well as high-ranking officials.
Central Control Room to be Established.
The meeting decided to establish a central control room at the Chief Secretary’s office, which will be linked to all relevant departments. Daily reports will be submitted to the control room to ensure effective coordination and preparedness for any emergency situation that may arise during the monsoon season.
PM Directs Agencies to Remain High Alert
Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq directed all relevant agencies to remain high alert and prepared for any potential situation that may arise during the monsoon season. He also emphasized the need to ensure the safety of people living in areas prone to flooding and landslides.
Notices Issued to Encroachers
The Prime Minister also issued notices to individuals who have encroached on nullahs and waterways in Azad Kashmir, warning them to vacate the areas immediately to avoid any damage during the monsoon season.
