High-Level Meeting Held in Sibi to Discuss Upcoming By-Elections

Sibi. Oct. 29 A high-level meeting was convened in Sibi under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Sibi, Jahanzeb Sheikh, to discuss the upcoming by-elections in the district. The meeting aimed to review various matters, including the restriction on government officers and employees participating in electoral activities.
Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Sibi Jahanzeb Sheikh emphasized that the Election Commission has imposed a complete ban on government employees and officers engaging in political activities ¹. He stated that, according to the constitution and law, no government employee can participate in any political event or activity during elections. Sheikh warned that immediate action will be taken against any government employee found involved in political activities.
District Monitoring Officer Sibi Ali Asghar Magsi also spoke at the meeting, highlighting the importance of maintaining impartiality during the electoral process.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner General and District Monitoring Officer Ali Asghar Magsi, Assistant Commissioner Sibi and Returning Officer Ali Shah Abbasi, and heads of all departments.
Ban on Political Activities_: Government employees and officers are prohibited from participating in political activities during elections. Constitutional Compliance_: The ban is in accordance with the constitution and law.
