Gwadar deep seaport an important gateway for sea trade attracting attention of whole world owing to immense geographic importance: Governor

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has stated that Gwadar deep seaport is an important gateway for the sea trade, which has attained attention of the whole world because of its immense geographic importance and economic potentials.
The Governor insisted that heavy responsibility rests with the Vice Chancellor of Gwadar University, Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir and his whole team to equip our youth with the modern knowledge and research in view of the future challenges and opportunities.
The Governor was speaking to the Vice Chancellor of Gwadar University, who called on him here on Monday.
The Governor said that the University is that center of research and innovation where new ideas are created and sustainable solution to the collective nature problems is found out.
He said that nevertheless, Gwadar deep seaport has potential of becoming an important supply center for promotion of economic and trade development and prosperity in the region.
Therefore, we should give more priority to the steps of blue economy for sustainable coastal development, adding he stressed.
In addition to this, it is very necessary to encourage the methods of water agriculture for promoting food security and sea trade.
The Governor stressed the need to expand circle of courses of the information technology and life skills in the premises of Gwadar university.
