QUETTA: The Health Department, Government of Balochistan, Indus Hospital and Health Network signed Memoranudm of Understanding (MoU) for Universal Health Coverage through Health on Wheels in Dera Bugti on Thursday.
The Secretary Health, Saleh Muhammad Baloch and Executive Director of Indus Hospital Health Network signed MoU on behalf of their respective institutions at the ceremony held here.
Those who were present on the occasion were the Director General Health, Dr. Amin Khan Mandokhail, Additional Secretary Health, Arif Khan Achakzai, Additional Secretary Health, Taufiqa Daniyal and Provincial Manager of Indus Hospital, Dr. Jahandad Kasi.
It may be mentioned here that the MoU is in the backdrop of the Chief Minister’s Initiative of Health on Wheels for provision of healthcare facilities in remote areas of the province.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Health said that it is very important to provide health care facilities to the people who are leading life below the poverty line.
He said that the expertise and skills of the Indus Hospital would be utilised for providing health services to the people in the areas of Dera Bugti.
He said that the decision of Universal Health Coverage would have far reaching results for bringing improvement in the health sector.
