Govt. determined to resolve financial problems of teachers of universities remaining in limited resources: Shoaib

QUETTA: The Chairman, Universities Finance Commission and Provincial Minister for Finance, Mir Shoaib Nausherwani has stated that our government is mobilizing all available resources for promotion of education in the province so that the young generation may brighten the name of Balochistan and country by getting modern scientific and technical education.
Mir Shoaib Nausherwani also said that our government has been determined to resolve the financial issues of the teachers of universities remaining in the limited resources.
He said that we have not only given funds for payment of the salaries of the teachers before, but Rs. 2.5 billion are also being given to ensure payment of the salaries of the teachers even now.
However, there is dire need to prepare a policy for resolving the financial issues of the universities on sustainable basis.
He was chairing the meeting of the Universities Finance Committee along with the Provincial Minister for Education, Ms Rahila Hameed Durrani here on Monday.
The Secretary Finance, Babar Khan , Secretary Higher Education, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir and vice Chancellors of all public sector universities of the province.
The meeting formed a committee with the Vice Chancellor of Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences, Dr Khalid Hafeez, as it s chairman and Secretary Finance, Secretary Higher Education, representative of Higher Education Commission, Vice Chancellor of Bolan Medical University, Dr Shabbir Lehri and Vice Chancellor, Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir as it’s members.
As per the decision, the committee would present its recommendations within 15 days.
Afterwards, new formula would be prepared for resolving financial issues of the universities with consensus.
