ISLAMABAD- The Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Law & Justice, has announced key appointments for the judiciary, enhancing the legal landscape of the nation. Mr. Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, previously serving as the Acting Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the esteemed court. This appointment, effective upon his oath-taking, marks a pivotal moment in the judiciary’s leadership. Additionally, the following distinguished individuals have been appointed as Judges of the Peshawar High Court: 1. Mr. Justice Fazal Subhan. 2. Mr. Justice Shahid Khan. 3. Mr. Justice Dr. Khurshid Iqbal. Their appointments, taking effect upon their oath ceremonies, are poised to bolster the court’s capabilities and efficiency. Mr. Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar, previously serving as the Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Balochistan, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the said court. His tenure commences upon the official oath-taking ceremony, heralding a new era for the High Court of Balochistan. These appointments signify the government’s commitment to ensuring a robust and fair judicial system in Pakistan. The newly appointed justices and judges bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise, poised to uphold justice and the rule of law in their respective jurisdictions.
