Governor urges QCCI to persuade international investors to make investment in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has urged the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) to hold a grand seminar at national level for celebrations of its golden jubilee and persuade the international investors for making investment in the province.
The Governor was speaking to the participants of the annual meeting and oath taking of the QCCI here at the chamber on Monday.
The Governor said that there is a key role of the people associated with the trade and industry in increasing the national growth, strengthening the taxation system and creating the opportunities of livelihood.
He said that our country’s investors can agree to the foreign investors for investment in the province.
Therefore, it is necessary to provide all necessary facilities to our traders community.
He expressed pleasure over functionality of the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Also present on the occasion were the Provincial Minister for PHE, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, Patron-in-Chief of the QCCI, Ghulam Farooq Khilji, newly elected President of QCCI, Muhammad Ayub Maryani, senior Vice President, Akhtar Kakar, Principal Secretary to Governor, Muhammad Hashim Khan Ghilzai, former President of QCCI, Abdullah Achakzai, Syed Sarwar Agha, besides other office bearers of the Chamber.
Addressing the ceremony, the Governor extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected office bearers of the QCCI from him and the people of province.
He said that there are long borders with Afghanistan and Iran. He said that our business community has been affected due to closure of the borders after the world epidemic of coronavirus.
He said that we should differentiate between the smuggling and trade activities.
He said that new opportunities of livelihood can be created by expanding the existing development projects.
He said that the government can’t give the jobs to all people, but our traders can extend cooperation to great extent in this regard.
He said that no doubt, traders and industrialists are playing key role in strengthening the taxation system in the country and province.
In the end, Mandokhail appreciated the organizers and participants on organizing successful ceremony in Quetta.
