Governor summons session of Balochistan Assembly on February 28

QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar has summoned session of the provincial assembly at 03:00 PM on February 28 here at the assembly building.
This was announced in an official notification issued here by the Provincial Assembly on Saturday.
It may be mentioned here that it would be the maiden session of Balochistan Assembly after the general elections 2024.
The newly elected members of Balochistan Assembly would take oath of the membership in the February 28’s session.
It may also be mentioned here that the Election Commission of Pakistan has issued notifications of as many as 48 members elected on general seats of the provincial assembly and 14 members elected on the reserved seats for women and minorities.
While at the moment it has been decided that Pakistan Peoples’ Party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz would form coalition government along with Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) in the province, other parties are likely to sit on the opposition benches in the assembly.
However, further things are yet to be decided including that who would be the leader of House and who would be the speaker.
However, as per the formula as being talked about in the political and journalistic circles, leader of the House means Chief Minister would be from the PPP and Speaker would be from PML-N.
