Karachi (August 29) – Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori underscored the importance of adopting modern innovations in agriculture to ensure increased production. He remarked that Pakistan’s rice and sugar hold unique significance on a global scale. These comments were made during a meeting at the Governor House with a two-member delegation from the Global Management Team of Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), comprising James Zhou, Head of the Asia Region, and Maurice Louis Dreyfus, Head of Global Strategy.
The discussions during the meeting revolved around enhancing the agricultural sector, the introduction of modern agricultural equipment, and matters related to imports and exports. Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori expressed the province’s keen interest in collaborating with LDC to strengthen its agricultural sector. He highlighted that LDC’s representation of 10% of global agricultural product trade is a clear indication of the company’s exceptional performance.
Maurice Louis Dreyfus informed Governor assured Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori that LDC employs 18,000 people and operates branches in 100 countries. The delegation assured Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori of their full support in advancing the province’s agricultural sector.
