Karachi (August 20): Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori inaugurated the Urs of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai. During the ceremony, the Governor laid a floral wreath at the shrine and offered special prayers for the prosperity and security of the nation.
While speaking to the media afterward, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori emphasized the importance of Sindh, describing it as the land of great Sufi saints and scholars who spread messages of peace, love, and brotherhood. He highlighted Sindh’s significant contribution to the country’s economy, noting that the province currently accounts for 90% of the national economy. However, he expressed concern over the lack of basic facilities in the province.
Addressing a question, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori acknowledged the challenges faced by the people of Sindh, particularly after the recent floods. He offered prayers for relief from these difficulties, expressing hope that the province would soon embark on a new era of development and prosperity.
In response to another query, the Governor urged industrialists and traders to remain patient, promising that good news would soon be delivered. He assured that a team of economic experts is working tirelessly, and positive outcomes are expected soon. He also mentioned that the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) project would bring about significant economic reforms, with the President, Prime Minister, and Army Chief all working diligently towards economic stability.
Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori called on everyone to unite as one nation in service to the country, predicting that within the next six to eight months, the IT sector would play a crucial role in stabilizing the economy.
