July 08 (Independent Report ): Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has announced the scholarship program under the Governor Initiative, which he will personally monitor. The first career counseling session for this initiative was held today at the Governor House, and a dedicated cell will be established by today to assist children in obtaining scholarships for studying abroad based on merit.
Addressing the students during the session, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori highlighted that renowned educationist Syed Abidi has sent 15,000 children abroad on scholarships. Emphasizing the importance of making Pakistan proud, Governor Sindh mentioned his prayer for success in various sectors upon his appointment. He cited the ongoing IT training courses for 50,000 youths, who are earning $200 to $400 monthly during their training. Furthermore, interest-free loans ranging from Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 10 million are being offered to young entrepreneurs with strong business proposals. Over 580,000 ration bags have been distributed to the needy, and a bike replacement scheme is available for those whose bikes are stolen and remain unrecovered for six months.
Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori also mentioned the establishment of a portal for overseas employment opportunities, where youths can submit their educational qualifications and learn different languages to enhance their job prospects abroad. Stressing the importance of tackling Pakistan’s economic challenges collectively, he assured that all initiatives are being undertaken without any financial burden on the government, thanks to generous donors.
